Hidden Yoga

Tucked within the walls of Hidden Hannya Tattoo in Lancaster, PA

Off the beaten path, Hidden Yoga is an abode for therapeutic yoga for the esoterically inclined.

A secret Sanctuary

What began as my own private practice space in time turned into a hub for yogic practice that goes against the grain.

The practice I teach at Hidden Yoga is steeped in lineage, and has been passed down to me directly by my own teacher. It is a practice that upholds the very purpose of yoga- a journey of deep inner realization of your own true nature.

This is deep and magical work, and the dwelling in which we do it is an important piece. This space is lovingly tended and maintained, and the heart of a creative and communal space. It is my sincere hope that Hidden Yoga is an abode for practitioners who don’t quite feel at home at the average yoga studio, for the person on the fringes and who champions the magic of tradition that is handed down from teacher to student.

When you visit Hidden Yoga you’re surrounded by a collection of art amassed over lifetimes, imbuing the space with shakti.

Hidden Worlds

A yoga studio inside of a tattoo shop is a little unusual, which is just how we like it!

Hidden Hannya Tattoo was opened by my partner Adam in the spring of 2022. An homage to traditional tattoo imagery, it’s secret traditions, and the offbeat location of the space helped to give Hidden Hannya it’s name.

Once inside the shop, you’ll find Hidden Yoga- named for it’s secretive location, and for the esoteric teachings of the tantric tradition which are often called “hidden.” (major 8th house bhava for my astrology people)

Adam and I are both a bit against the grain and also hold a real reverence for tradition and stewardship. Our work and the space we’re in reflect this ethos and our commitment to upholding the current, in our own ways.

October Theme

I am feeling so inspired by the everyday, ordinary kind of enlightenment. “Chop Wood, Carry Water” is a saying that comes from the Zen tradition, and it’s sentiment is one that I’ve related to more and more as I progress in my own practice.

This month’s practices will be simple with the potential for easeful repetition. It’s all about the things we do every day that ultimately create our lives.
